Hello everyone! It's been a crazy last couple weeks for me so I haven't been able to post anything. This year for Christmas I decided to make a lot of the gifts that I gave. I made hair clips, bracelets, and crayons. They all came out amazingly. I'll post pictures of everything later when I can take some good ones. I hope everyone is have an great holiday. Please remember the people that are struggling this season. Little things can make such an impact to someone who needs it.
Merry Christmas and happy crafting!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! It is the Christmas season once again and I am in the Christmas mood. Last night I made a new Christmas bracelet. I used craftergawker, an amazing site that takes crafts from blogs and combines them all onto one great site. It's great for crafters like me to get new ideas!

This is the bracelet I made. It was made using green yarn that I braided and some red embroidery thread that I found. After making the bracelet I had the opportunity to teach Shane's youngest sister, Summer, how to braid. Summer is a wonderful, imaginative little girl. Shane, who is my boyfriend, has many siblings, one of which his parents adopted from Ukraine last year. Amazing huh? Two of his younger siblings, Summer 7 and Michael 9, have taken a liking to make friendship bracelets. I taught them how to make basic ones but I gave Michael the book that taught me how to make bracelets so many years ago. They'll both be able to make extensive bracelets like I do someday.

With Christmas there is so much giving. I hope everyone has done something to give to another person. Giving something to someone in need is the most rewarding thing a person can do. It warms your heart to see a smile on a face of a person you just gave something to with nothing in return, it slaps a smile right back on your own. So please, use your crafting abilities to brighten someone's day. Here's a perfect example... Oliver, the little sweetheart of a boy that I mentioned previously loves getting Christmas cards. Christmas Cards for Ollie . Please, use your crafty ideas and make a Christmas card for a little boy who needs a smile.

Merry Christmas and happy crafting.

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a great week and looking forward to the holidays that are just around the corner. This week I started a new trimester in my last year of high school and, until January, I only have two classes. So in all of my extra spare time I've been working on my Christmas pieces and presents!
I am in the process of making holiday bracelets for kids who will be residing in hospitals over Christmas. There is a very special little boy that is making it all happen, his name is Oliver. Oliver was diagnosed with DIPG in 2009. Please take the time to visit his blog and/or his Facebook page, it would really mean a lot to a little boy and his family in a really tough time.
Anyway, Ollie is such a wonderful, selfless little boy, this winter he is asking people to send cards and tie blankets to him to bring to kids in hospitals. I began making a tie blanket but realized that I would be able to send a lot more bracelets than I could blankets, so I am in the process of making the bracelets and will send them down to Oliver next week. Today I made a Christmas tree bracelet. (Sorry that the picture is a little awful, I had to take it with my iPod)

If you have any questions about Ollie, his cause, or about the holiday bracelets, please feel free to comment here or send me an email at hallieanneoriginals@ymail.com.
Happy Crafting and Happy Holidays!

Hi there everyone! My name is Hallie, I'm almost 18 years old, and I created a little Etsy shop called HallieAnneOriginals. There I sell handmade knotted bracelets. I only have a few in my shop at the moment, but I've been making more and more, I just have to get around to taking pictures of them.
I've been creating things for as long as I can remember. I've always loved art in school and would rather make something with my hands than play a video game. I've been making friendship bracelets since I was about 10 years old when my grandma gave me a book on how to make basic bracelets. Up until recently I had never tried to make bracelets with patterns other than the ones I had learned so long ago, but I stumbled upon a site called friendship-bracelets.net and it changed everything.
I'm writing this blog for a couple of reasons: 1. for the incentive to make more bracelets, 2. to have another place to sell my bracelets, and 3. to encourage people to be creative and try to make something instead of just buying it.

This week I have been working on my younger sister's birthday present. I told her to pick out a couple of bracelet patterns that she liked and I would pick one to make for her. All three of the bracelets that she chose were 40 strings, twice the size of any other I've ever made, but I was determined to make her something that she wanted. This is the pattern .
I have finally completed the bracelet and I thought it would be the perfect bracelet to begin my blog.  This is how it turned out! YAY!

Well I hope you liked my first little post. I'll hopefully be posting again withing a few days to update on my next craft! Happy crafting!
