Happy Halloween everyone! (: As a little girl I mostly dressed up as a witch, I was obsessed with Harry Potter growing up and still love the books. Inspired by all the pumpkins I see on porch steps I decided to make a Jack'o lantern bracelet. By next year I'll have this bracelet, and others like it, up in my Etsy shop, and possibly on here as well.
Enjoy your night! (: Boo!

So It's Been A While
So it's been a while since I last got the motivation to post here... But I'm becoming more and more motivated by a certain handsome man in my life to start developing my small etsy business into something worthwhile. I've made a few new bracelets since my last post: a couple fireman inspired bracelets, a new American flag bracelet, a peacock inspired bracelet, and I'm working on a Jack o' Lantern bracelet. I'm not sure if I'll have the pumpkin bracelet up on etsy before Halloween but I'm going to try. I also have a Christmas tree bracelet pattern that I've made before that I'd like to put on my shop, along with a couple of other Christmasy types.
A new craft that I'm becoming obsessed with is wine bottle vases. I've made at least 8 and they are all sitting on my desk in my crafting room. I think they're beautiful and I'm hoping that my customers will agree (:
I've also become hooked on crocheting! (: Two weeks ago I watched a Youtube video on how to crochet a double crochet stitch. So for the last two weeks I've been making scarves. The very first one was a mess-up. It's a cowl and it has a twist in it. The second scarf is a cowl that DOESN'T have a twist in it (: The third scarf I made is a small rectangular, rainbow patterned scarf. And the very last one is my favorite so far, it's a very long rectangular, teal scarf, which I finished today. Tomorrow or the next day I will post pictures of my latest crocheted creations. (:
Have a creative day!!

Four Corners of Pain
So this week I had my wisdom teeth taken out! OUCH! Going into it I expected lots of pain and a chipmunk face. Well it didn't turn out that way. The day I had them removed I was hardly puffy at all and the next day I looked completely normal again! Happy days for Hallie! Though I didn't swell it still hurt a little. The first two days I couldn't open my mouth very far at all but by Monday, which was four days later, I was able to open my mouth almost completely. Today I can open my mouth all the way but there is still some painful pressure in the four corners of my mouth. It is also painful to smile too much, which is a sad thing for me because my family and friends love to make me smile. I'm told often that I don't smile enough and always look down. Well excuse me for not knowing that I had to smile 24/7. =P
So this week I've been deciding what I want to make. I'm the sort of person who doesn't like throwing things away when I think they could be turned into something pretty. Lately I've been holding onto toilet paper tubes. Last night I came up with the idea to make a bracelet out of a few tubes. I haven't completed it yet but when I do I will take some pictures and get 'em on here!
I hope everyone is having a great 2012 so far!
PS if you haven't visited Ollie on Facebook or his blog, please do so! He could really use a smile right now!
Happy Crafting!!!!

A New Year and A New Life
Do you ever get so busy that you just want to pull out all your hair and just tell the world to fall down a well? Well that is exactly how my last few weeks have been. But I'm starting over anew with New Year's resolutions and dreams of success. So here I go. I'm starting over.
So one of my resolutions is to post on my blog at least once a week. I feel like I'm going to have the most difficult time with this one because when I write I don't just write. I write, then rewrite, and rewrite again. Yeah, you could call my a bit of a perfectionist, or maybe I'm just a little obsessive. So when I post it takes me at least an hour to post one thing.
But anyway, my goal is to post at least once a week. Another goal I have is to make at least one bracelet a week. I'll be starting this feat with all the orders I have lined up by family members. Unfortunately for me a lot of these are the same bracelets that I just have to make a million times. Woo hoo.
Another goal I have is to make at least one craft a week, this doesn't include the bracelets I have to make. Between my blog, HallieAnneOriginals, school, and work, I am going to be one busy girl. Let's just hope that I can stick with these resolutions. :)
What are some of your resolutions for 2012? If anyone is to read this please feel free to comment with some of your own ideas for the new year! :)

Hello everyone! It's been a crazy last couple weeks for me so I haven't been able to post anything. This year for Christmas I decided to make a lot of the gifts that I gave. I made hair clips, bracelets, and crayons. They all came out amazingly. I'll post pictures of everything later when I can take some good ones. I hope everyone is have an great holiday. Please remember the people that are struggling this season. Little things can make such an impact to someone who needs it.
Merry Christmas and happy crafting!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! It is the Christmas season once again and I am in the Christmas mood. Last night I made a new Christmas bracelet. I used craftergawker, an amazing site that takes crafts from blogs and combines them all onto one great site. It's great for crafters like me to get new ideas!
This is the bracelet I made. It was made using green yarn that I braided and some red embroidery thread that I found. After making the bracelet I had the opportunity to teach Shane's youngest sister, Summer, how to braid. Summer is a wonderful, imaginative little girl. Shane, who is my boyfriend, has many siblings, one of which his parents adopted from Ukraine last year. Amazing huh? Two of his younger siblings, Summer 7 and Michael 9, have taken a liking to make friendship bracelets. I taught them how to make basic ones but I gave Michael the book that taught me how to make bracelets so many years ago. They'll both be able to make extensive bracelets like I do someday.
With Christmas there is so much giving. I hope everyone has done something to give to another person. Giving something to someone in need is the most rewarding thing a person can do. It warms your heart to see a smile on a face of a person you just gave something to with nothing in return, it slaps a smile right back on your own. So please, use your crafting abilities to brighten someone's day. Here's a perfect example... Oliver, the little sweetheart of a boy that I mentioned previously loves getting Christmas cards. Christmas Cards for Ollie . Please, use your crafty ideas and make a Christmas card for a little boy who needs a smile.

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a great week and looking forward to the holidays that are just around the corner. This week I started a new trimester in my last year of high school and, until January, I only have two classes. So in all of my extra spare time I've been working on my Christmas pieces and presents!
I am in the process of making holiday bracelets for kids who will be residing in hospitals over Christmas. There is a very special little boy that is making it all happen, his name is Oliver. Oliver was diagnosed with DIPG in 2009. Please take the time to visit his blog and/or his Facebook page, it would really mean a lot to a little boy and his family in a really tough time.
Anyway, Ollie is such a wonderful, selfless little boy, this winter he is asking people to send cards and tie blankets to him to bring to kids in hospitals. I began making a tie blanket but realized that I would be able to send a lot more bracelets than I could blankets, so I am in the process of making the bracelets and will send them down to Oliver next week. Today I made a Christmas tree bracelet. (Sorry that the picture is a little awful, I had to take it with my iPod)
If you have any questions about Ollie, his cause, or about the holiday bracelets, please feel free to comment here or send me an email at hallieanneoriginals@ymail.com.
